About Us

Our History

Formerly known as Desert Meats & Provisions up until March of 2017, Newport Meat of Nevada was founded in 1978, later acquired by Sysco Corporation in 2006, operating as its subsidiary since.

Under the new name Newport Meat of Nevada, a Sysco Company, it is the finest specialty meat processor in the Las Vegas and the southern Nevada food service markets. Our company operates from a state of the art, daily USDA inspected processing and distribution facility in the heart of Las Vegas. We distribute more than 2,000 products to a diverse base of customers that includes Las Vegas mega-resorts, hotel-casinos, and most of the fine "white tablecloth" restaurants and Steakhouses in town, also servicing Arizona and Utah.

Our Specialties

We specialize in Portion Controlled Meats, including Wet and Dry Aged Beef, Lamb, Veal, and Pork. We also offer a variety of Poultry, Game, and Sausage, as well as a number of Seafood products, available as wholesale to Restaurants and Food Service Outlets.

Our Dry Aging Room

Dry aging is a time-honored technique in which unwrapped cuts of beef are stored in a specially constructed room where all aspects of the environment are strictly regulated such as temperature, humidity, air circulation and bacteria levels. We are proud of our state-of-the-art Dry Aging Room, the largest and most modern facility in the State of Nevada.
